In Fortress Explorations you take a self guided walkthrough tour of a insanely detailed and immersive fortress. There's several rooms, dioramas and displays to discover while you're inside. A free pamphlet is available before you enter that informs you on the story overview and background, but overall you're free to explore and create your own narrative. There's dozens of fun interactive elements to be found as well, including a room with small model ships that can be controlled by visitors. Be sure to visit the Chamber of Planets, which is a beautifully rendered planetarium. Taking the time to thoroughly explore Fortress Explorations is very rewarding and we highly recommend doing so.

On the bottom level of Fortress Explorations is a play area with a boat where kids can burn some energy. Be sure to go on the ship and pull the cannon fuse for a nice surprise.

Touring Tips

There is no line to wait in. Come and explore at your own pace. Also, we think all ages can enjoy Fortress Explorations, so don't sit out if you're an adult.

How's It Different From the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Versions?

Other parks have exploration areas, but none quite like Fortress Explorations.
