Unofficial Guide Dumbo-or-Die-in-a-Day Touring Plan
From our Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World book. This jam-packed touring plan will provide a young child with about as perfect a day as is possible in the Magic Kingdom.
For this plan we recommend that Disney resort guests arrive at the entrance turnstiles 50 minutes prior to official opening. Off-site guests should plan on arriving at the parking lot 70 to 90 minutes before official park opening.
This plan is a concession to adults determined to give their young
children the ultimate Magic Kingdom experience. If you left the kids
with a sitter yesterday or wouldn't let little Marvin eat frosting for
breakfast, the plan will expiate your guilt.
Two-Day Touring Plan for Parents with Small Children
This is a 2-day touring plan designed specifically to eliminate extra walking and backtracking. It is a comprehensive touring plan of the Magic Kingdom and includes nearly every child-friendly attraction in the park. The plan features long midday breaks for lunch and naps outside the park. Part 2 of the Plan
Two-Day Late Arrival Touring Plan for Parents with Small Children
Another version of the 2-day touring plan, this plan allows families with young children to sleep in, arrive at the park in the late morning, and still see the very best attractions in the Magic Kingdom over 2 days. The plan includes the Magic Kingdom's top attractions, including the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid.
Two-Day Dumbo-or-Die Touring Plan
A two-day, more relaxed version of the famous "Dumbo-or-Die-in-a-Day" touring plan from the Unofficial Guide, we took all the same attractions from the one-day plan and stretched them out to two days. Thus eliminating most of the backtracking and running around in the one-day plan (your feet will thank you). The plan includes the Magic Kingdom's newest attractions, such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, plus classic attractions like Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Parents' Plan-One Afternoon and One Full Day
This day-and-a-half plan works perfectly if you're arriving in Orlando late in the morning of your first vacation day and cant wait to start touring. It also works great for families who want to sleep in one morning after spending a full day in the Magic Kingdom the day before.
The attractions in these plans are the same as those found in the standard one-day plans for parents with small children, so these day-and-a-half itineraries also work as relaxed versions of those plans.
Touring Plan for Junior Pirates and Explorers Ages 4-8
Have kids that are thrill seekers? We specifically designed this plan for young fearless children. This touring plan includes all of the thrill rides in the park, with a heavy dose of pirates, rivers, and tree houses thrown in for good measure. Spend time running through the caves and across the bridges of Tom Sawyer Island. Go on everything with the word "mountain" in its name. If an attraction has a warning sign, it's in this touring plan.
Two-Day Touring Plan for Junior Pirates and Adventurers Ages 4 to 8
Same as the one day Junior Pirates and Explorers plan but includes two afternoon breaks of at least three hours each. The plan finishes around lunchtime on the second day. If you'd like to return to the park after a nap, the free time can be used to re-visit favorite attractions, or explore the rest of the park.
Two-Day Touring Plan for Princess Fans Ages 4 to 8
A two-day version of the Princess Fans one-day touring plan, including long mid-day breaks for you and your young ones to rest and relax back at the hotel. Plan on arriving at the entrance turnstiles 30 minutes prior to official opening if you're a Disney resort guest. If you're staying off-site, plan on arriving at the Magic Kingdom parking lot at least 50 minutes prior to opening.
One-Day Not-A-Touring-Plan Plan for Parents with Small Children
If step-by-step plans arent your thing we recommend using these "Not-A-Touring-Plan" plans instead. Theyre a loose collection of guidelines we use when telling folks how to tour the Magic Kingdom. Most of these plans (there are more for parents, and for the other parks) aren't more than a dozen sentences long. For example, one step in the plans is "Tour Liberty Square next." See those attractions in any order. Stop to get character autographs, to shop, or to rest. Continue the plan whenever you're ready. Skip attractions which do not interest your family. You'll have a solid strategy for beating most of the crowds, with the most flexible schedule possible.
Christmas Party Touring Plan for Parents (Focus on Attractions)
Use this plan if you'd like to enjoy the atmosphere of the Christmas Party while visiting your favorite Magic Kingdom must-see attractions. The plan assumes an arrival of 4 pm, the earliest that guests can get in with a party ticket. It also assumes that you will not stay after the fireworks, if you do that is a great time to ride extra rides.
Late Arrival One-Day Touring Plan for Parents with Small Children
