Walt Disney World uses "Park Reservations" made via its Park Pass System to limit access to its theme parks. This began in July 2020 when the theme parks reopened following closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to enter a Walt Disney World theme park on a given day, guests must first make a park reservation. And in order to make that park reservation, guests need park admission valid for that date. You cannot expect to walk up to a theme park, buy a ticket, and walk in; you need both park admission and a Park Reservation.

Varying levels of availability are allotted to those with Annual Passes, guests of the Disney World Resort Hotels, and regular theme park day guests. You can check availability for any day and group by visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Park Reservation Availability page.

Again, Park Reservations are limited. Some parks may have minimal or no availability on specific dates, depending on which type of guest requesting a reservation (Resort Hotel Guests, Annual Passholders, or others with tickets). Before buying theme park tickets, please check to see that your desired date and theme park is available. Given the limited availability of park reservations, we recommended that you make your theme park reservations as soon as possible after purchasing your admission.

Reservations can be made via Disney World's official website or app. Please see our Step-by-Step Guide on making a Disney World Park Reservation for details.
