    Splash Mountain

This attraction is scheduled to be closed temporarily from
Wednesday, February 12, 2025, to Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Description And Comments

Splash Mountain is a Disney-style amusement-park flume ride. The ride combines steep chutes with a variety of Disney's best special effects. Covering more than half a mile, the ride splashes through swamps, caves, and backwoods bayous before climaxing in a 52-foot plunge and Br'er Rabbit's triumphant return home. The entire ride is populated by more than 100 audio-animatronic characters, including Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Bear, and Br'er Fox, all regaling riders with songs, including "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

Touring Tips

Splash Mountain is a very popular ride the commands high wait times, even during Japan's freezing winters. We recommend riding it near park closing.

How's It Different From the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Versions?

Tokyo's Splash Mountain is similar to Walt Disney World's version of the ride. It's slightly longer than Disneyland's, has some different show scenes, and the log ride vehicles sit two people side by side in four rows, rather than five people in a single file row. It is a Disney classic, so it's hard to say skip Tokyo's Splash Mountain if you've already experienced its American counterparts. But if you you have time you should give it a try as Tokyo Disneyland's Splash Mountain is usually in pristine condition compared to the rides in the American parks.

A big difference between this Splash Mountain and its foreign cousins is that you usually will leave the ride with hardly a drop of water on you. You may get a little spritz after your log makes the final splashdown, but it's nothing compared to how drenched you'd get on Splash Mountain at Disneyland or Magic Kingdom.

Is it English Friendly?

Splash Mountain has limited Japanese dialogue. You probably won't even notice it.
