Disney Ambassador Hotel Information: Rooms, Pools, Dining, and More

Disney Ambassador Hotel Overview

Disney Ambassador Hotel sits near Ikspiari, which is Tokyo Disney Resort's shopping mall and entertainment district. The hotel is themed in a vintage Hollywood Art Deco style that we think looks quite good. It's not as nice as, or as conveniently located near a theme park as, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta or Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, but the rooms are high quality and the service is excellent. Walking time to Tokyo Disneyland is 15 to 20 minutes, and walking to DisneySea takes 25 to 30 minutes. The Tokyo Disney Resort Line - Resort Gateway Station (aka the monorail), is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel (it's located inside Ikspiari). The Tokyo Disney Resort Line offers transportation to Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and Bayside Station (where all non-Disney on-site hotels are located). Rack rates for Disney Ambassador Hotel range from around $300 USD for standard rooms, to more than $3000 USD for a suite.

The official Tokyo Disney Resort hotels can be booked on the Tokyo Disney Resort Online Reservation & Tickets website, which is in full English. Please note that the official TDR hotels sell out extremely fast, sometimes as soon as the reservation window opens, which is 9 AM (JST), five months before your arrival date. Early Entry for Disney Ambassador Hotel Guests

Guests at Disney Ambassador Hotel can enjoy a perk called "Happy Entry." This allows hotel guests to enter either Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea 15 minutes early. Few attractions are open during this time, but it allows you to skip the massive lines that form outside the parks before they open for the day. It will also let you get a huge head start to your first destination. If you want to ride Journey to the Center of the Earth in DisneySea (or any other high demand attraction) with little to no wait, Happy Entry will give you a perfect chance to do so.

Other Disney Ambassador Hotel Guest Perks

Hotel guests are guaranteed entry to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, even on days when the parks are extremely busy and attendance is restricted.

Where To Check-In, Get Theme Park Tickets, and Make Dining Reservations

Check-in time at Disney Ambassador Hotel is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you're from outside of Japan, you'll need to provide your passport and credit/debit card when you register.

If you haven't purchased your theme park tickets yet, you may do so at the Guest Services Counter. The Guest Services Counter can also make dining reservations. Disney Ambassador Hotel's Rooms

Room amenities include HDTV, mini-refrigerators, hot water pot (with instant coffee and tea), safes large enough for laptops, and wireless Internet connections. In your room's bathroom you'll find shampoo, soap, and conditioner in nicely themed bottles that you're allowed to keep after you check out, as well as a toiletry accessory kit containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair comb, cotton swabs, and more. The nightstand between the two beds has a telephone and alarm clock. Rooms also contain a closet with hangers, an iron with ironing board, and enough room to store a few pieces of luggage.

Disney Ambassador Hotel bathrooms are made up of three parts, each of which are separated by doors that lock. To the left is a shower room with a bathtub, and both fixed and removable shower heads. The center is a sink area with a mirror, one sink, and limited counter space. To the right is a small room with a toilet. The toilet is a luxurious Japanese bidet that features heated seats and a stream of warm water to clean your rear end. If you don't wish to use any of these extra bidet features, you can simply flush it with the lever attached to the toilet itself. If you do want to try out the bidet, it's controlled by a panel with buttons.

Disney Ambassador Hotel Room Types

Tokyo Disney Resort categorizes all of Disney Ambassador Hotel's rooms based on the configuration of the room.

Here's the system Disney uses:

• A Standard Room includes a full-sized bed and a trundle bed that can be stored under one of the other beds when not in use, or two full beds and a trundle bed. Standard Rooms sleep up to three people.
• A Superior Room offers a full-sized bed and a trundle bed that can be stored under one of the other beds when not in use or two full beds and a trundle bed. These two options sleep up to three people. Superior Rooms with two full beds, a trundle bed, and a "cruise bed" are also available and sleep up to four people. Also, Superior Rooms are slightly larger than Standard Rooms (441 square feet compared to 366 square feet).
• A Character Room offers slight touches and decorations featuring beloved Disney characters. Stitch Rooms have Hawaiian-themed carpets, Chip and Dale Rooms feature headboards with everyone's favorite chipmunks, and carpets with acorns on them. Donald, Mickey, or Minnie rooms have artwork and bedding inspired by the character's clothing. Some Character Rooms sleep 1 to 3 people, while others sleep 1 to 4.
• Triple Deluxe Palm Garden View rooms overlook the hotel's pool area. One double bed is included, but the room itself is a large 796 square feet. The Triple Deluxe Palm Garden View sleeps up to 2 people.
• A Family Room comes in two configurations. The Junior Family Rooms have four full-sized beds, and a couch that has a pull-out mattress. These rooms are 603 square feet and sleep up to four people. Family Room (yes the naming is a bit confusing) have four full beds, a trundle bed, and a sixth bed that can be ordered for an additional charge. Disney Ambassador Hotel is the only official Tokyo Disney Resort hotel to have rooms that allow this many people.
• Suite Rooms are available for those wanting some of the most lavish accommodations Tokyo Disney Resort can offer. Each of the different suites offer special decorations, living room seating areas, and panoramic views. Suites range $1000 to $3000 USD per a night, and only sleep 1 to 2 people.

Disney Ambassador Hotel Pool

Disney Ambassador Hotel's Palm Garden Pool is only offered during summer months, usually around mid-July to late-August. Pool hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The following pool rules are strictly enforced, especially the rule about covering tattoos:

• Guests with tattoos are requested to cover their tattoos with a rash guard or other garment.
• Kids ages 11 and under must be accompanied by a guardian at least 16 years of age. The guardian must supervise the children, but is not required to be in the water with them.
• Inflatable tubes and other pool toys are not allowed. Complimentary arm floats are provided.
• No food or beverages into the pool facilities.
• Smoking is not allowed in the pool area.

Restaurants and Dining at Disney Ambassador Hotel

Disney Ambassador Hotel has three full-service restaurants, one quick service restaurant, and one lounge. If none of these establishments meet your needs, you can take a short walk to Ikspari and eat at any one of its' restaurants of varying quality and price ranges.

Chef Mickey

Chef Mickey is a buffet where Mickey Mouse and other characters visit guests at their tables as they dine. The buffet serves everything from meat dishes, noodles, curry, fish, salads, fresh fruit, and more. There’s also a large variety of delicious desserts. Besides your stomach, the only other limit is time. Each party is given 90 minutes to finish their meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available, but breakfast is only available for guests of Disney Ambassador Hotel.

Empire Grill

Empire Grill offers Italian, Mexican, and Asian-inspired cuisine. It's pricey (around $40 to $60 USD per plate) but Empire Grill is perfect if you're looking for a fine dining experience.

Hana

Hana's menu includes delicious teppan-yaki dishes. Here you can enjoy breakfast (buffet style), lunch, or dinner.

Tick Tock Diner

Tick Tock Diner sells sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, and pastries. Here you can enjoy lunch, or dinner. It's a perfect place to grab a quick meal.

Hyperion Lounge

Hyperion Lounge is located near Disney Ambassador Hotel's lobby. Here you can enjoy drinks or a full meal during breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Shopping at Disney Ambassador Hotel

Disney Ambassador Hotel's gift shop is Festival Disney and sits just off the lobby. As you'd expect from a Disney gift shop, Festival Disney has a decent collection of souvenirs ranging from small trinkets (such as keychains and pens) to shirts and Disney princess items. Prices for these items are what you'd pay in the theme parks. Festival Disney also offers the mega popular Tokyo Disney-branded cookies, chocolate, coffee tins, and similar items.

Sunset Sundries sells snacks, drinks, and basic pharmacy items such as aspirin, and cold medicine, baby diapers and formula, shampoo, and the like. Sunset Sundries is a good place to grab some quick snacks, or to buy some items you may have forgotten at home.
