Part dark ride, part interactive game, Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! is a highly detailed Tokyo Disneyland exclusive. The ride takes place after the events of the Monsters, Inc. film, where Boo, along with you and other humans, are invited back to the scare/laugh floor to play a game of hide and go seek with flashlights. Each two-person ride vehicle is equipped with two tethered flashlights. As you and your vehicle tour the world of Monstropolis, you'll encounter many familiar faces (Mike, Sully, Roz, Randall, and many other monsters). Shining your flashlight causes items and monsters to react in different ways, with often humorous results. It's a lot of fun.
Touring Tips
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! is one of the most popular rides in Tokyo Disneyland, and because of that it has high wait times all day. FastPass usually runs out before noon. If you plan on riding, which you absolutely should, make a beeline towards the attraction the minute the parks opens. Then jump in line, or get a FastPass. A great strategy for knocking out the park's two must ride exclusives: Obtain a Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! FastPass at park opening, then briskly walk to Pooh's Hunny Hunt and hop in the stand-by line.
How's It Different From the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Versions?
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! is exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland. A Monsters, Inc. ride exists at Disney California Adventure, but Tokyo's ride is much more elaborate, and way more fun.
Is it English Friendly?
The monsters speak Japanese, but language should have no bearing to the enjoyment of the ride.
