Disney Magic, Deck 3 Forward

Keys, on Deck 3 Forward, features live piano music nightly. Six large porthole windows run along one of the rectangular room’s long walls. The bar is located in the middle of the opposite wall, and the piano player is between the two, and the far end of the room from the entrance doors.

Keys' theming represents a Chicago-style lounge from the 1960's. The furnishings include modern sofas and chairs whose curved, radius-style arms and backs and a carpet with a crisp silver with geometric sunbursts. The live entertainment's audio levels tend to be a bit loud for such a small space, but it's a pleasant enough experience.

Keys is often used for group seminars during the day, on everything from wine and spirits tastings, to acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and back pain treatments. (We sense a “Feel better one way or another” theme here.) Check your Personal Navigator for details. The bar typically opens anywhere from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Children are admitted into Keys until 9 p.m., when it becomes an adults-only venue until its midnight closing.

Live entertainment usually begins with a show around 7:30 p.m.; a typical night’s schedule will have more performances around 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. The pianists are generally acceptable, if nondescript, and will play medleys of well-known songs ranging from Frank Sinatra to Elton John. Some nights include themes, such as “50’s and 60’s Hits,” “Elvis,” or “Simon and Garfunkle,” and you can always make requests.

Keys' bar menu includes specialty drinks with music-themed names.

Comparing The Ships

The Magic’s Keys is most similar to the Wonder’s Cadillac Lounge. The entertainment is interchangeable between the two, and the décor is a toss-up.
