Every Walt Disney World resort hotel has self-service laundry facilities for guest use. Each hotel has at least one, and sometimes several, guest use laundry rooms.

Practical Matters

Cost Each wash and each dry cost $3.00 each. Soap and fabric softener are available in single-used packets sold at vending machines in the laundry rooms and in the resort gift shops, for approximately $1.00 each.

Length of cycle Wash cycles and dry cycles take approximately 30 minutes each.

Payment method Most washers, dryers, and detergent vending machines accept payment in the form of credit or debit cards. A limited number of coin-operated machines may be available in some locations. MagicBands are not currently accepted as payment for the laundry room washers/dryers.

Electronic monitoring The WDW laundry rooms are now equipped with LaundryView technology. Laundry View allows users to check machine availability and load status. You can even sign up to receive text alerts when you load is complete. To check laundry room status now, see LaundryView and select your Walt Disney World resort.

In addition to wash facilities, many of the guest laundry rooms also include a comfortable chair or two, vending machines, and sometimes a television set. There are also hotel phones in the laundry rooms so that you can easily keep in touch with family members in the room or contact housekeeping to report any problems.

Laundry Room Locations

Most WDW resort laundry rooms are located adjacent to one of the hotels' pools. This allows you to keep an eye on your clothes while you lounge in the sun or take an afternoon swim.

Disney Vacation Club Villa Laundry

The Disney Vacation Club resorts have in-room washer and dryers in all their one, two, and three-bedroom units. Guests staying in studio rooms may use the washer/dryers in central guest locations in the Villas at no additional charge.

Dry Cleaning and Valet Laundry Service

If you’re interested in getting your clothing clean, but not interested in doing the wash yourself, valet service is available at all the Walt Disney World resort hotels. Valet service includes dry cleaning, pressing, or straight up laundry.

Prices can change, but for ballpark information some sample rates as of Spring 2108 were: dry clean suit, $14.00; dry clean skirt, $7.50, dry clean shirt, $7.50; launder socks $2.50; launder pajamas, $7.00; launder tee shirt, $5.00. Obviously, it is much more cost effective to launder washable items yourself, but the dry cleaning rates are not far off dry cleaners charge in urban areas of the United States. Pricing is uniform across all resorts.

At the value resorts, if you’d like an item dry-cleaned, you must bring it to the bell services desk near the main resort lobby. At the moderate and deluxe resorts, you’ll find a laundry bag and valet price list hanging in the closet of your room. Touch the housekeeping button on your room phone and someone will come to the room to collect your items for you.

Valet service is available seven days a week. Items sent for service before 8:30 a.m. will be returned to you the same day, usually by 6:00 p.m. And for those who wish to do some touch-up pressing on their own, irons and ironing boards are standard equipment in all WDW hotel rooms.
