My very first travel memory is strolling blissfully through the rain in front of Cinderella Castle, clutching a brand new Minnie plush in a nearly empty park. Who says you can’t have fun in the rain?

Travel was ingrained in my psyche at a very young age, as my father was passionate about exploring the vast expanses of the U.S., its national parks, historic sites and Major League ballparks. As I grew older, I was fortunate to travel with student groups, musical ensembles, business associates, and eventually my own family.

A few of my favorite adventures include singing at Carnegie Hall with my college choir, traveling in the footsteps of my ancestors in Northern Italy, snorkeling countless coral reefs from Hawaii to the Caribbean, and discovering the mystical qualities of Ireland’s Kylemore Abbey, after which one of my children is named. 

My graduate studies in tourism and my personal adventures have taught me that the keys to a successful journey include being well prepared and open minded, as well as treading lightly to ensure that the places we love will be around for generations to come.
